I'd been wanting to do an annimated look to something for sometime now. This one was pretty easy. I just used the posterize setting in photoshop to create the dark edge lines. However it also gives the picture a lot more lines than I wanted and texture to the color so I then basically choose solid colors and painted in the solid colors in-between the lines I wanted to keep so that it was a very flat and untextured picture.
